"intrusive thought" gets thrown around by assholes talking about putting strainers on their heads or stepping on a leaf who in the next sentence will say "if your thoughts are about actually hurting people they should put you in a psych ward". compulsions and rituals get seen as proof you're "crazy". ocd insight CAN be delusional, even. pocd and sexual ocd is especially demonized, though even something as "harmless" (to others. not *us*) as contamination OCD is still mocked, belittled, and seen as a sign something is fundamentally wrong with you. I have seen people twice my age advocate for violence against anyone who thinks the way I've been forced by my mental illness to think since i was 6, maybe 7 years old.

OCD is not destigmatized.

as soon as the internet decided depression and anxiety were the everyman mental illnesses and therefore not to be taken seriously we were all fucked tbh bc the fact that i have to feel embarrassed to admit i have debilitating anxiety because people will think im just an uwu dont call me out coward is ridiculous. its insane that i have to clarify that my depressive episodes are like life threatening and not whatever dipshit dumbed down idea of depression people seem to have like oh yeah i just wanna watch netflix and eat ice cream and not text people back. like bro i think im the devil

AHHH YESSS. i haven’t even played totk yet but the shrines from botw are still burned into my brain (in my peak botw days i had each shrine name/puzzle/location totally memorized and i think i still do have almost all of them!) and yes i do indeed have neurodivergent brain and it latches onto some names more than others. some just roll off the tongue so beautifully (Shora Hah, Myahm Agana, Rona Kachta); some are ambitious and unusual but surprisingly enjoyable (Pumaag Nitae, Rok Uwog, Akh Va'quot); some look great but aren’t all that pleasurable to say aloud (Ha Dahamar, Mozo Shenno); and a few are just total clunkers all around (Dow Na'eh, Hia Miu). all of the DLC shrines have fun names too, i think Etsu Korima is just perfect.

it does look like some of the totk shrines have names that are only one word?? idk how i feel about that but maybe i'll come around to it also how could i not mention Ooh Shrine that's a classic botw volt answers goldensunset
